james

Originally from Toowoomba, James has a calm, patient, and adaptable manner that can make any student feel at ease. He has years of tutoring experience and is dedicated to helping our students grow.

James specialises in tutoring high school students in maths (including Maths Methods). He holds a Bachelor of Science with an extended major in mathematics and his love for maths is infectious! He has previously worked as a tutor at UQ, tutoring university level maths to adults.

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, birdwatching, and squash.

James is based in Toowoomba and also offers online tutoring sessions to students all over Australia.

Alexandra

Alexandra is our online senior maths wiz and runs all her sessions via Zoom. She makes online sessions feel just as valuable as in-person sessions with her incredible tech skills. Her students all finish their sessions feeling comfortable, organised and enthused about maths.

judy

Judy first gained an understanding of the formative power of a child learning to read during the more than ten years during which she taught blind and partially sighted students. As she observed the way that learning to read and write developed their personal confidence and contributed to their academic success, she also noted that it became a source of pleasure, a means of satisfying their curiosity and a way of learning empathy for others.

Twenty years ago, she began teaching early literacy skills to home schoolers in Vancouver, Canada. Tutoring work in one of the city's highly regarded, private, elementary schools followed. Judy has recently returned to Australia and is, once again, pleased to be helping young students master the sometimes challenging early literacy skills needed for school success (and hoping they might discover a love of reading along the way).

michael

Toowoomba and surrounding locals may recognise Michael from his decades of experience as an educator, many of which he was a School Principal. Our primary students benefit greatly from Michael’s patience and compassion, along with his ability to brighten a student’s day and help improve their confidence and self-esteem.
